Dear Friend, This week marks the longest government shutdown in American history, and North Carolinians are feeling it. At the start of November, more than 42 million Americans were at risk of losing SNAP benefits that help them put food on their kitchen tables. As the SNAP deadline approached, I joined nearly every House Democrat in calling on USDA Secretary Rollins and President Trump to use the SNAP contingency fund to ensure children, the elderly, veterans, those with disabilities, and everyone else on SNAP could still receive this vital support.

Dear Friend,

This week marks the longest government shutdown in American history, and North Carolinians are feeling it.

A federal judge ordered the government to continue providing SNAP benefits, but President Trump said this week that SNAP benefits will only be paid after the shutdown ends.

I believe no one should go hungry because of politics in Washington.

As I keep fighting for Wake County in Congress, I need to know how you feel about SNAP and the fight to protect the most vulnerable in our community.
