Dear Friend, As we begin the new year, I want to share an update on my work on behalf of the people of Wake County over the past 12 months. From securing more than $12 million for community projects to leading critical legislation to help Western North Carolina, combat sexual abuse, and more, this year has been a testament to what we can achieve when we rise above political division and focus on finding bipartisan solutions to the problems that matter most to North Carolinians.

News from Congresswoman Deborah Ross

Representative First Last

Dear Friend,

As we begin the new year, I want to share an update on my work on behalf of the people of Wake County over the past 12 months. From securing more than $12 million for community projects to leading critical legislation to help Western North Carolina, combat sexual abuse, and more, this year has been a testament to what we can achieve when we rise above political division and focus on finding bipartisan solutions to the problems that matter most to North Carolinians.

Working for Wake County

In March, I secured over $12.6 million in federal funding for projects across Wake County. Over the year, I had the chance to visit these projects and see the positive difference they are already making in the lives of so many people. From funding for affordable housing projects in Raleigh and Cary to investments in the Apex, Morrisville, Raleigh, and Knightdale Police Departments, these community-driven initiatives are helping Wake County thrive.

$22 million in federal benefits returned

In 2024, my team achieved a significant milestone when our district office crossed $22 million in federal benefits delivered back to Wake County residents since I took office. My team remains committed to doing everything they can to help the people of Wake County access resources and benefits from the federal government. Whether you need help claiming your veterans’ or Social Security benefits or requesting a delayed payment from the IRS, my office is always here to help.

Fighting for North Carolina priorities

I am proud of the meaningful legislation I have passed and the progress we've achieved for our community, delivering results that make a positive difference for North Carolinians.

In 2024, I pushed forward bipartisan solutions to some of our country’s most pressing issues. I introduced several bipartisan bills that will address sexual abuse and harassment and ensure abusers are held accountable, lower healthcare prices, advance the development of Artificial Intelligence (AI), and more.

I’m proud to report that President Biden signed into law my bipartisan legislation that will close loopholes for child predators by ensuring that existing enhanced penalties for sexual crimes involving children are applied equally to all sexual predators.

After years of work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle, in coordination with USPS and Research Triangle Park (RTP), I'm proud to report that USPS has finally begun implementing mail delivery in RTP. Previously, the lone USPS facility was understaffed and unable to provide door-to-door mail delivery to businesses. Ensuring RTP has the support it needs is essential for the growth and success of hundreds of companies.

I will continue serving, championing, and amplifying the voices of all of you who have placed your trust in me, with unwavering focus and purpose. To my constituents: Thank you for the honor and privilege of being your voice and advocate.
