Dear Friend,

Election Day is less than two weeks from today. Voting is the cornerstone of our democracy, so make sure you have a plan to vote and your voice is heard. I want to share some resources for voters and answer any questions you may have ahead of the election on November 8th.

If you are not already registered, you can register to vote and cast a ballot or update any address changes at any early voting site in Wake County using same-day voter registration. To do this, just show up at an early voting site with proof of residency by bringing any of the following:

  • North Carolina driver’s license.
  • Other photo identification issued by a government agency. Any government-issued photo ID is acceptable, provided that the card includes the voter’s current name and address.
  • A copy of a current utility bill, bank statement, government check, paycheck, or other government document showing the voter’s name and address.
  • A current college/university photo identification card paired with proof of campus habitation.

You cannot vote on Election Day if you are not already registered to vote.
