Dear Friend, Last year, Congress passed the PACT Act, an historic investment in veterans' health care. This landmark legislation finally takes steps to address the long-term health effects of toxic exposure, including burn pits, Agent Orange, and other hazardous substances, including toxins at Camp Lejeune in North Carolina. Our veterans and their families sacrifice so much for our country, and they should always have access to exceptional health care.   I was honored to visit the Durham VA Medical Center yesterday to hear more about PACT Act coverage in North Carolina from our veterans and the VA’s outstanding providers. News from Congresswoman Deborah Ross

Representative First Last

Dear Friend,

Last year, Congress passed the PACT Act, an historic investment in veterans' health care.

Read below for more information about the PACT Act:

PACT Act Eligibility

The PACT Act expands and extends eligibility for VA health care for veterans with toxic exposures and veterans of the Vietnam era, Gulf War era, and Post-9/11 era. Eligible veterans are encouraged to submit claims as soon as possible. Full eligibility information can be found here.

As of August 10, 2022, a long list of new conditions are presumed to be service-connected due to various in-service toxic exposures. PACT Act-related claims that have been submitted by August 9, 2023 will be backdated to the date of the bill signing, meaning claims granted will be paid with an effective date of August 10, 2022. Apply now here.
