I'm sure you have noticed gas prices going up. AAA reports the average price across Wake County has hit $3.80 per gallon — up nearly a full dollar from last year when gas was already at $2.84 per gallon.

At a time when North Carolina families are already stretched thin from rising utility bills and high costs across the board, driving your car just got even more expensive.

Make no mistake: gas is more expensive because of the war that President Trump has waged in Iran and the economic chaos it's created. American consumers are being forced to pay the price of Trump’s misguided policies.

You deserve better than being forced to cover the costs of this war of choice. Your taxpayer dollars should be going towards making your life easier, not used for another endless conflict overseas.

In Congress, I’m fighting to end this dangerous, unnecessary war in Iran and tackle the real problems facing North Carolinians, such as the high cost of living.
