Implemented under the previous administration, the bump stocks ban had bipartisan support and saved lives. I remain committed to fighting for common sense gun safety legislation and doing everything I can to end the epidemic of gun violence in America.

Working to Combat Gun Violence

During Gun Violence Awareness Month, I held a roundtable with law enforcement officials, community stakeholders, local leaders, and advocates to discuss how we can create a safer future for our kids. In the US, gun violence is the leading cause of injury or death for children. Congress can and must do more to combat gun violence, which has plagued our nation for far too long.
