I fear for our sisters and daughters, who have been forced to fight for access to abortion care every single day since the Dobbs decision. I am scared for women across the South, who have looked to North Carolina as a safe haven to get the health care they need.

This extreme abortion ban is out of touch with the needs of women and the will of the people of our great state. This legislation criminalizes health care and prevents doctors from doing their jobs. North Carolinians do not support these dangerous attacks on our reproductive freedom. I will join lawmakers across levels of government in fighting this backward legislation with everything we’ve got.
