I just wrapped up a busy week in Wake County, meeting with local business leaders and constituents across the Second District – from Morrisville to Wendell. While I am back in Washington this week, I am excited to share an update on what I’ve been working on in North Carolina.

My week in Wake County

Working for Wake County Women

From reproductive health care to child care, women in the workforce face unique challenges. That's why I hosted a roundtable with Congresswoman Valerie Foushee and women business leaders to learn more about how we can support their success. I will always fight to ensure women in the workforce have the resources needed to thrive.

Delivering $2 million to Wendell

I joined state, local, and community leaders to celebrate $2 million in federal funding that I secured to revitalize the historic Carver School in Wendell. The funding will support the new Pleasant Grove Community Center. From after-school programs to job and mentorship resources, this funding will make a positive difference in the community.

I had the honor of attending services with students at Temple Beth Or in Raleigh and discussing important issues like faith, community, and combatting antisemitism. I always appreciate the opportunity to hear from young people and am so grateful to learn from our next generation of leaders.

Announcing the 2023 Congressional Art Competition

I'm so excited to invite Wake County students to participate in the 2023 Congressional Art Competition, an amazing opportunity for students to express themselves creatively through art.
